As
told to Aleta Jonie Maschek
By Dr. Mack MillerMy father Willard Bellamy
Dickman Miller, was the youngest son of Dr. G. M. Miller the founder of
Ruskin College, and Adeline Dickman Miller who was the Vice President of
Ruskin College. My grandparents were both classical scholars.
It was grandfather's idea of forming an educational
institution whose students would study part time and be gainfully
employed. He also developed social and political practice.
At his death in 1916 my grandfather was writing a
book on the revision of the standard translation of the King James version
of the Bible. His idea was not King James but community. Grandfather's
message was for this world not the next world. |
